Method
Prepare Pasta
- Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente
- Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking
- Set aside to cool
Make Filling
- Squeeze excess moisture from spinach
- In a bowl, combine ricotta, spinach, egg, Parmesan, garlic, and seasoning
- Mix until well combined
Assemble Shells
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Spread 1 cup marinara sauce in baking dish
- Fill each shell with ricotta mixture using a spoon
- Arrange shells in baking dish seam-side up
Bake
- Top with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes
- Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes until bubbly
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving
