Make Filling

- Season with salt and pepper
Prepare Biscuits
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
- Cut in butter until pea-sized
- Add buttermilk and stir until just combined
- Turn onto floured surface and knead gently
- Roll out 1-inch thick and cut into biscuits
Assemble and Bake
- Place biscuits on top of filling
- Brush with egg wash
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until biscuits golden
- Let cool 10 minutes before serving
