Ingredients

Noodles
  • 8 oz ramen noodles without seasoning packet or spaghetti
Garlic Sesame Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger optional
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
Garnish (Optional)
  • Chopped green onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Method

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
  2. While noodles are cooking, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), and red pepper flakes in a large bowl until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the drained noodles to the bowl with the sauce. Toss well to ensure all noodles are evenly coated.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add a teaspoon of peanut butter to the sauce. If you prefer a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a dash of sriracha. These noodles are great hot or cold, making them perfect for meal prep. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
