Method
Prepare Chicken
- Pound chicken breasts to even 1/2-inch thickness
- Combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in shallow dish
- Dredge chicken in flour mixture, shaking off excess
Cook Chicken
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in large skillet over medium-high heat
- Add chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through
- Remove chicken and set aside on plate
Make Sauce
- Reduce heat to medium and add remaining 1 tbsp butter
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds
- Pour in chicken broth to deglaze pan, scraping up browned bits
- Stir in cream and bring to simmer
- Whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth
- Add red pepper flakes if using
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened
Finish and Serve
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top
- Simmer for 2 minutes to heat through
- Stir in lemon juice and parsley
- Adjust seasoning if needed
- Serve immediately with pasta, rice, or vegetables
