Ingredients

For the Lobster Tails
  • 2 fresh lobster tails 6-8 oz each
  • 1 pinch salt
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika optional

Method

Preparation
  1. If using frozen lobster tails, thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. Preheat the broiler and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Preparing the Lobster Tails
  1. Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of each lobster shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin.
  2. Carefully pull the lobster meat up and rest it on top of the shell, keeping it attached at the base.
  3. Sprinkle a pinch of salt evenly over the lobster meat.
Making the Garlic Butter
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and gently infuse for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the garlic doesn't brown.
  3. Stir in fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, salt, and smoked paprika if using.
  4. Remove from heat.
Cooking and Serving
  1. Brush the garlic butter generously over the lobster meat.
  2. Place the lobster tails on the baking sheet under the broiler, about 6 inches from the heat.
  3. Broil for 8-10 minutes or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly golden on top.
  4. Remove from oven and serve immediately with extra garlic butter and lemon wedges.
