French Garlic Philly Cheesesteak Bread

Ingredients
  

For the Bread
  • 1 large loaf French bread or baguette
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
For the Topping
  • 400 g thinly sliced roast beef or steak
  • 1 onion sliced and sautéed
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced and sautéed
  • 6-8 slices provolone cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Mix butter, garlic, and parsley. Spread onto the cut sides of the bread.
Assembling
  1. Bake the bread for 5 minutes until lightly toasted.
  2. Layer the sliced beef, sautéed onions, and peppers onto the bread.
  3. Top with provolone cheese slices.
Finishing
  1. Return to the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  2. Slice and serve warm.
