Prepare the Filling
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Assemble the Wontons
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Put about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Dip your finger in the water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper into a triangle or bring all four corners to the center and pinch tightly to seal, ensuring there are no air bubbles inside.
Fry the Wontons
- Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place 4-6 wontons in the hot oil at a time. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
