Cinnamon Roll Overnight Oats

A delightful breakfast that combines the comforting flavors of cinnamon rolls with the convenience of overnight oats. Perfect for busy mornings!

Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Toppings
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Fresh berries (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl.
  3. Divide the oat mixture between two jars or containers. Add a layer of the cinnamon swirl mixture to each jar.
  4. Using a knife or spoon, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the oats to create a marbled effect.
  5. Cover the jars and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats and add more milk if desired for consistency.
  7. For the topping, mix Greek yogurt with powdered sugar and a splash of milk to create a glaze-like consistency.
  8. Top the overnight oats with the yogurt glaze, chopped nuts, and fresh berries if desired. Enjoy your delicious breakfast!

Notes

These overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings like chopped pecans, walnuts, or fresh fruit. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and substitute the butter with coconut oil.
