Ingredients
  

French Toast
  • 4 large cinnamon rolls day-old preferred
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking
Topping
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • Fresh berries for serving

Method
 

Prepare Rolls
  1. Slice cinnamon rolls in half horizontally
  2. If fresh, let sit uncovered for 1 hour to stale slightly
Make Egg Mixture
  1. Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon
  2. Pour into shallow dish for dipping
Cook French Toast
  1. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat
  2. Dip roll halves in egg mixture, 30 seconds per side
  3. Cook until golden brown, 3-4 minutes per side
  4. Repeat with remaining rolls
Make Glaze
  1. Whisk together cream cheese and milk until smooth
  2. Add powdered sugar and whisk until no lumps remain
Serve
  1. Stack French toast on plates
  2. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze and maple syrup
  3. Top with fresh berries
  4. Serve immediately
