Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Cooking
- Add marinara sauce, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet with garlic; simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked pasta, sauce mixture, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped basil. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish and spread it out evenly.
Finishing
- Sprinkle the topping evenly over the casserole: 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/4 cup Parmesan, and breadcrumbs.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
