Cheesy Ground Beef Quesadillas

Ingredients
  

For the Beef Filling
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
For the Quesadillas
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups Mexican blend cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until cooked through.
  2. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3 minutes.
Assembling
  1. Place a tortilla in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle a layer of cheese on one half, top with the beef mixture, and more cheese.
  3. Fold the tortilla in half.
Finishing
  1. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, adding a little butter to the pan for a crispy, golden finish.
  2. Slice into wedges and serve with salsa and sour cream.
