Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforations.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg with water to create the egg wash and set aside.
Cooking
- Place one sausage link on the wide end of each dough triangle, sprinkle a little shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Roll each sausage up in the dough, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the point, pinching the edges to seal.
- Place the wrapped sausages seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each roll with the egg wash to help them turn golden brown.
Finishing
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the dough is golden and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with maple syrup or your choice of dipping sauces.
