Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
Gravy
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
Toppings
  • 4 eggs scrambled
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp chives chopped

Method
 

Prepare Crust
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  4. Stir in buttermilk until just combined
  5. Press into greased pizza pan or baking sheet
Make Gravy
  1. Cook sausage in skillet until browned, breaking into pieces
  2. Sprinkle flour over sausage and cook 1 minute
  3. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth
  4. Simmer until thickened, season with pepper and paprika
Assemble and Bake
  1. Spread gravy over biscuit crust
  2. Top with scrambled eggs and cheese
  3. Bake for 15-18 minutes until crust is golden
  4. Garnish with chives before serving
