Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mashed very ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
Filling
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
Cream Cheese Glaze
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Method
 

Prepare Dough
  1. In bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt
  2. In another bowl, mix mashed banana, warm milk, melted butter, and egg
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix
  4. Knead in remaining flour until smooth elastic dough forms
  5. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour
Make Filling
  1. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon
  2. Stir in mashed banana until well combined
Assemble Rolls
  1. Roll dough into 14x8 inch rectangle
  2. Spread filling evenly over dough
  3. Sprinkle with walnuts if using
  4. Roll up tightly from long side
  5. Cut into 8 pieces and place in greased 9-inch round pan
  6. Cover and let rise 30 minutes
Bake and Glaze
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown
  3. Beat glaze ingredients until smooth
  4. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve
