Method
Prepare Dough
- In bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt
- In another bowl, mix mashed banana, warm milk, melted butter, and egg
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix
- Knead in remaining flour until smooth elastic dough forms
- Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour
Make Filling
- Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon
- Stir in mashed banana until well combined
Assemble Rolls
- Roll dough into 14x8 inch rectangle
- Spread filling evenly over dough
- Sprinkle with walnuts if using
- Roll up tightly from long side
- Cut into 8 pieces and place in greased 9-inch round pan
- Cover and let rise 30 minutes
Bake and Glaze
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown
- Beat glaze ingredients until smooth
- Drizzle over warm rolls and serve
