Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti Casserole

Ingredients
  

For the Main Dish
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Sauce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Topping
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  4. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Cooking
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, marinara sauce, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Add the cooked spaghetti and the beef mixture into a large mixing bowl and pour the cream cheese sauce over them.
  3. Stir gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Finishing
  1. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  2. Remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  3. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley over the casserole for garnish.
